Joshua shook the disorentation from his head as he rolled onto soft green grass after jumping into the shining slipspace portsl at the center of the Forerunner Structure. The enviornment was running plains of green grass, trees, and rivers, surounded by mountains many miles away. He stood and grabbed a hold of Dr. Halsey and helped her up. "Ma'am are you ok?" he asked, she replied sternly brusing bust of her long pleated skirt. "Im fine thanks." she replied.
Joshua turned to view the area, making sure no one was advancing on the area. He waited for his other SPARTANs to drop from the slipspace portal, this place was strange and he wanted to get moving as fast as possible.
Every fiber of his being shouted for him to find a way back and help Kurt. His leader... His friend, being trained by the SPARTAN II since he was only 6. Resisting the urge, his training took over, he began thinking of what to do, with the death of the Lt. Commander, Joshua was promoted to Lt. Junior Grade to lead the remniants of the SPARTAN IIs and IIIs.
The Portal flashed, Ash and Olivia dropped out and onto the grass. They were SPARTAN III Beta company, the only survivors of 300 after the Pegasi Delta's Operation TORPEDO.
C> Post up a defense position go prone cover for the others.
Joshua said over the Comm, the SPARTAN III's snapped to their acknowledgement lights burning green.
The portal flashed again...

Carmen jumped out from the other side of the portal feeling a little woozy and light headed. She hated going through transporters, and would take a ship anyday over these stupid things.
They also gave her the creeps. Everytime she came through one she checked herself to make sure she didn't leave behind a limb or internal organ. Although Carmen was a sensible girl, she wasn't too keen on this Star Trek technology. Alot of the others in the fleet made fun of her phobia of high technology, but they made sure not say it to her face for the fear of looking down her rifle barrel.
Despite the fact that she one of the youngest in her division, Carmen made sure she got respect from everyone else. But, she was just as careful to make sure to give respect to her commanding officer. She was a strange one, no doubt in that.
Her hot-headed temper made her a favorite amongst the commander, Rick, and her equal respect to her superiors kept her just enough out of trouble to help her climb the ranks.
As she counted all her fingers present, she took out her gun from it's holster and loaded up. She was given absolutly no specifics on the terrain here and she wasn't about to face down a hositle species without protection.
Looking around her, it wasn't exactly the first thing that came to her mind when she though "uncharted". It looked alot like her training camp, and she wouldn't have been surprised to see a base there.
"Calm down there, soldier" Ash said "We just got here. No need to whip out your weapon yet." "Sorry sir. Just anxious is all. This is my first big mission, sir."
Olivia chuckled at the new recruit's enthusiasm. "Reminds me of myself at that age!"
Spotting Joshua, she stood tall at attention and saluted smartly just as she would at basics. "Spartan-O 154 Carmen reporting for duty, sir. Ready, willing, and able to serve, sir!"

Joshua turned to the voice behind him, he quickly said "Drop that arm NOW SPARTAN!" he shouted. "Were in an unknown zone with possible snipers, I know your new so here's a lesson dont salute or call by rank, Understood Corporal! Now At Ease." he finished, taking a knee and beckoning her to come towards him. He knew he might have taken t to seriously, but this was a new place, for all he knew there were hundreds of eyes watching, and saluting is a sure way to give authority to a sniper. Although he may have taken it to hard on the newbie.

"Yes, sir!"
Holstering her gun, she blushed inside her helmet. "Oh, great," she thought to herself, "First day, big blunder. Not good. Okay, time to think positive! It can only get better from here."
Kneeling down next to him, she could tell right away it was going to be hard to win his favor, but that was a challenge she had overcome quite a few times in training. She stood at the ready for any order he would throw her way.

Joshua picked up SRS99D-S2 AM Sniper Rifle, and pulled a clip from the load-bearing GI Spec pack. It was loaded with four Seeker rounds, which when shot have a micro explosion which shoots out a parachute and the round which is laced with 6 microcams gives you a 360 degree view of the area.
He laid on his back and fired one at a 90 degrees angle straight up, then 45 degrees to the left and right and the last at a 45 degree angle towards the south. His HUD flashed with a complete fairly detailed map of the area in a 6 mile circumference.
C>Ok team bring it in... The others must be delayed in the Slipspace pool, and will get here shortly, the Seekers revealed a structure due East of this position, no covenant heat signatures, but their are foreign signatures to the south, in a Rainforest. At least a hundred... The map will upload to your HUD. The Jungle South is designated "Bungalo" this center region of savana will be called "Circle of Life." The bunker area and the hills around it to the East will be "Greengables. The Mountains in the north are "Smokies." And the River on the West will be the "Mississippi."
First we need to get to Greengables, scout the structure and see what we can scrounge. Ash you take point, the rest of you spread out in a Fan formation. Dr. Halsey in back middle with me, Mendez and Carmen take the flanks. I will be with the Dr. on rear."
He directed over the Comm, the area was vast the base on the far end of the six miles, lots of hills, might slow them down. Once there unknown resistance my be lurking. But they had to move out the massing of the heat sigs in the Bungalo was unknown, unliked, and unwanted. They needed cover and whatever was that in bunker.
C>MOVE OUT!!!
He said and Ash and Olivia moved into position, Ash to the center up ahead, Olivia to the right and back a bit, Mendez between the two making an arch that only needed Carmen on the far left, a gap between her and Ash though, making an arch, the fan came in when Joshua went to the rear center.

Carmen quickly took her position next to Mendez on the far left. Once everyone was in place, they made to the East, quickly and cautiously.
She could hear her pulse in her ears, and every one of her steps seemed to be light one moment, then, as she shifted her wieght to the other foot, it felt like a million pounds were tied to them. These moments she loved. The thrill of being out in the feild gave her a chill.
She looked around with her head trained right in front. She scanned her HUD and kept up with Mendez and the rest. In her battle intoxicated state, she thought she saw something suspicious every two seconds, but on a second glance turned out only to be a bug flying too close, or an alien plant seed floating by.
She sighed quietly to calm her nerves, which helped her stop shivering. If she was going to be of any help at all, she needed to remain calm.
Looking at the HUD, she saw the heat signatures in the south moving about themselves, then turned her eyes back to the line.
"What could those signatures be?" she thought. "There aren't any Covenent here. But, I don't think they're on our side."
She heard her COM click and Ash's voice came over the frequencey.
C>Hey, rookie. First mission eh? Doin good so far. She replied shortly. C>Yes, sir. Thank you, sir. Her first mistake was calling out rank, so she wasn't about to try to talk too much any more. Ash called back on the COM C>No need to worry, huh? No Covenent. No problems.
If the moral was like this in the unit, she knew the success rate would be great.
((sorry didnt let you know, Olivia is mute, she hasnt spoken a word since the Operation TORPEDO where 298 Spartans died and he and Ash were all that was left. Last person she made a audiable sound to was Kurt, before she jumped into the pool to get here.))

Joshua brought up his team Bio's on his HUD, Olivia was a bit flucuant as she just watched her mentor Kurt be left behind to kill the covenant massing behind them. Ash was fine his bio's normal, Mendez was also stone cold as usual. Dr. Halsey's pulse was up, but when Joshua turned to look at her she was furiously typing away on the laptop, caculating where they were, trying to get a signal out of this place and all her technical stuff.
Then he turned to the newcomer Carmen, her bio-signs flickered from moment to moment, he pulse was up a bit and the drouned out to normal again. She was nervous, these Omega generation SPARTANs were brand new, only 16 years old. Just two years younger then himself, but two years is enough to harden anything when you do the things Spartans do.
C>Keep Comm silence unless its important, the base is 1 klic ahead, break into teams of three. Olivia, Ash and Carmen Red Team take the left flank. Mendez and the Dr. Blue Team your with me. Approach quick and cautious. Stick to the tall grass. Stop 50 meters from the perimeter, then send me a Green light."
He ordered over the TEAMCOM. "Dr. Please follow, he said as he knew she didnt hear a word over her brain at work. She nodded "Shh ok, I got you." she replied. A small crack of a smile shielded by his helmet emerged. This older woman who had been with them since the beginning, was not a typical Doctor, she would just as soon pick up a pistol and fire her d**nest into an attacking Elite.
Joshua felt an ease settle in as he began to pick up the pace, taking point ahead of the Doctor and Mendez. He kept his MA5C level as he checked his ammo counter, a full clip and a half in reserve. The M6D pistol with two clips, slung to his right leg, two grenades and one plasma, in the belt around his waist. The pack he carried held one FERNIS warhead, and two Lotus-anti tank mines.
He approached the bunker and knew Red Team would get there first, they were all Spartans, but keeping his eyes peeled he scanned his radar and with is vision the area as he advanced.

((okay. sorry bout that.))
An Ma5B standard issue rifle. Three full clips. Two gernades. Two plasma. Carmen took invintory real quick to settle her nerves. The knowledge that she had enough amo made her feel okay, but when they split up into their teams, another sense of forbodding unsettled her.
It was Olivia. Something about her didn't sit right with Carmen. Maybe it was the fact that she hadn't said a word since they got there. But, there was something else. A cold, unfeeling aura seemed to come of her, and Carmen felt that if she got too close or breathed wrong around the Sparten she would soon find herself lacking a few apendeges.
As they made their way past Blue Team through the tall grass, the bunker came into view. It really wasn't much of anything and it was covered with vines and falling apart in someplaces, but it was all they needed to get by in this place.
The one person she worried about the most was Dr. Hasley. Although Carmen didn't doubt her military intellegence, she wondered if she would be alright in a combat situation. She seemed to be more of a passive agressive type. But, then again, she did volunteer for this; so maybe she isn't so.....soft.
They reached the 50 meter mark and crouched down into the foliage. Ash turned to her and gave her the thumbs up to signal.
She turned toward the Red Team and pushed the signal on her shoulder to signal them. She saw them pick up their pace and head to the opposite side.
The whole area was quite....maybe too quite. Now she knew what made Joshua so nervous. She felt as if someone was watching them, waiting for them to drop their gaurd at any minute. Now that they were this far out, she felt like who ever it was was really, really close.....
As they waited quitely for the others to reach their destination, Carmen's looked off into the directon of the bunker. Unfortunatly, Olivia was looking the opposite way, and their eyes met under their visors.
Carmen shuttered to herself in that split second. She was pretty sure she didn't want to see what her eyes looked like under the gold colored glass but pictured cold, grey puplis peering right into her eyes.
She quickly turned away and made a mental note not too look her in the face again.

Joshua saw the green acknowledgement light in the bottom of his visor pulse emrald green as Red Team got into position on the left flank of the bunker. Joshua approached the mark of 50 meters and took a knee, Mendez and Dr. Halsey not far behind. When they joined him he pulsed two green lights followed by a text read-out which read:
:// Red Team; Advance on Bunker from left flank, bang and breech, clear and move to whatever rooms are left. We will go right. DO NOT fire onto any unknown species. ROE (rules of engagement) will apply. Go on Green."
Joshua broke the link and pulsed his green light, he moved with Mendez and trunked it to the Bunker, covering the 50 meters of open ground in about 2 seconds, Mendez wasnt as quick be he was smart as he ran he primed a Flash Bang grenade.
Joshua stepped in front of the door and kicked it in, the Flash Bang flying over his shoulder and into the room, it flashed, Joshua's visor was already polorized to 90% and he entered, his rifle leveled, and he saw a flash, he fired once where it came from and the area rippled life water, what he saw was the Flash bang blow again, and him enter right behind it. Then the round which he shot into this thing wrapped around and struck the floor where he aimed.
C>Red Team do not fire I repeat do not fire."
He yelled over the Comm, he knew the SPARTAN-III's were a little built up and if they let out on the room when they saw the banger go off, they would pepper their our backs.
Mendez entered the room and looked into the "Mirror" and saw himself enter again only 5 seconds later. He turned to Joshua.
"Uh Sir what the hell is that." he said in is gruff voice. Dr. Halsey entered and looked at the "Mirror" and had a look of intrigue on her face. "Well Chief I think were looking into the past." Joshua replied. Dr. Halsey took a pen and threw it into the "Mirror" it ripped and exactly 5 seconds later the pen hit her in the back.
"Curious." she said, moving to the sides of the "Mirror", then stepping behing it onto the other side of the room where Red Team would breech.

Red Team followed Ash to the right side of the bunker as they saw Blue Team move to the left. Ash pulled out his flash and as Carmen kicked in the door he threw it in. As it flashed out, Olivia pushed her way in past her, rifle raised.
The square room they found themselves in was bare and covered with the same vines as the outside, but it was dark, with a dusty and broken light overhead and sunlight peering out from the cracks in the wall.
As Carmen stepped over the threshold, she heard Joshua over the COM. C>Red Team, do not fire!
"Arms down." Ash said to the others. "What do you think he found?" Carmen asked. "No tellin'. Maybe someone's injured. C'mon, let's find Blue Team."
The place looked small on the outside, but it was actually fairly big on the inside. Between the two rooms, there was a long hallway with two doors busted in showing empty rooms. Entering the room, they were first met by Dr. Haysley standing behind some sort of mirror.
"Hey, Dr.," Ash said, "I know the place is run down, but we don't have time for redecorating." "Bery funny," she said, "but, why don't you take a look before we decide where it would best match the rest of the decor."
Putting it against the wall, Carmen leaned in to get a good look at it, but instead of seeing her reflection, she saw what looked to be a shot of the room, and Dr. Haysley, Joshua, and Mendez were a standing around the mirror talking. She saw the doctor move behind it than, to her shock, she saw Ash then herself come in.
"Wh...what the....how the hell? What is this thing?"

Joshua move to Dr. Halsey's side, "Ma' am, I am going to look for some controls, maybe if we can see into the past, we can see the future, or atleast a different area of this place with it." he said and waved over Carmen, for her to assist him. The others did various things Dr. Halsey instructed them to do. Ash and Olivia took up positions at the doors on the perimeter. Mendez threw a rock through the "Mirror" and caught it again five seconds later, and repeated the process.

Carmen wasn't quite sure about this thing. If it could see into the future, well....she just didn't like to think about that.
She liked living in the present and no where else. Any talk about destiny or "the future" really just made her shutter. She would rather have been fighting a squadren of Covenants than mess with something that could tell the future.
Following Joshua, they went into the first room on the right, which was dusty and filled with empty crates of what used to be amo and rations. The alien sunlight poured in through a hole in the wall to the right and cast weird shadows on the floor.
They poked around for a while but no controls were found. In the next room, though, they found a small controls panel that looked like it was long since dead from years of misuse.
As she tried to help Joshua find a power source, she just couldn't help it anymore. Whether she would be out of line or not, she needed to say something.
"Excuse me, sir. But, when we do figure out how that thing works, why do we need to use it? I mean, sir, it seems a little ill advised to me. Like it's something we shouldn't mess with."

He turned to Carmen and quickly gave a reply. "This is our mission, before you came me and the others were in the Core of Onyx, the home of the SPARTAN-III programm, and when the Master Chief demolished the first Halo it set off a chain reaction... Which activated this planet, sentinals poured out and killed two of the Gamma teams, in their last training OPs. These sentianl learned from each attack making it harder and harder to kill... Thats when we found the city. Made of Onyx and a Forerunner material it reflected battle sceans, a planet forming, anything and everything. Then we made our way to find team Katana. Which he did and demolished a sentinal factory in the process, we made it to the core room, when we were attacked. Hundreds of them...Thousands. Three Spartans died, and Kurt..." he paused. "We are here to accopmlish the mission Kurt was set on. Finding any technology to win this war, to crush the covenant and save... Earth." he replied, hesitation on the word Earth for he knew it was now under attack from covenant forces. "So by finding this Mirror, it is accomplishing our mission. Understood?" he finished and looked at the consol, he shouldnt have spoken of this on his external speakers, he knew Ash and Olivia could hear him, the others possible as well. The Bio-signs flaired at the mention of the Covenant in the core, and... Kurt. But like all Spartan they held their emotion tight and out of sight.
It was dusty and deactivated, he called Dr. Halsey and she trotted into the room, "Ma' am we found a control pannel, looks to be deactivated though, might be..." Joshua paused as he hefted the pannel and heard it hum to life, a blair of color and light flashed, blinding him as he visor couldnt polorize fast enough, he then felt something latch to his arm, he tried to shake it loose but it seemed to fuse with his armor...his skin. Electricity pulsed through his body and a cool chill set in. The hues individually came back into focus as he regained his vision with a few shakes of the head.
His arm was normal, the only noticeable effect on his armor was a slight drop in his energy shield. But inside Joshua's mind was going crazy, three different things contending with his own thoughts. Finally is seaced, and focused into one powerful voice.
"RECLAIMER, your arrival is most joyous." a male voice boomed in his ears, but not really, it was like his thoughts taking another form, like an AI was in his Armor. "What are you, what are you doinf!" Joshua yelled. Though inaudiable to the others.
"I am Raiden, one of the elder god of the Jenesis people, surely Reclaimer you know of this."

The light the issued from the control panel felt like it hit her square in the chin. She was instantly blinded, and she thought she heard a weird little voice whisper "You are not the Reclaimer".
She was pushed back by something, as if it was leaving through her chest in a violent jolt. She tumbled backwards head-over-heels as the shock of her own body weight sent her flying. As her vision cleared, she saw Dr. Hasley next to her on the floor as well.
"Are you alright Dr.?" she asked. "I can't see a thing. Help me up."
As Carmen lifted herself, and then the doctor up, she saw her eyes were clearly distressed at the sudden flash right in front of her face. Carmen helped her sit down on a crate in the back so that she could get her sight back. She could only imagine how much that hurt. If even she was temperarily blinded by the light in her helmet, then it might take Dr. Hasley a while to recover.
She turned to see Joshua was still standing in his origional place. The lights on the control panel were miraculusly working again, the place alive with the sounds of mechanical whirring and buzzing. "Sir, are you alright?"
He didn't answer, he only looked around, expecting to see someone else. She tried again, this time on the COM.
C> Is everything alright, sir? Dr. Hasley's been blinded, but she'll be fine.
Still, no answer. It was almost like he was trying to think of something and looking up as if he might find the answer there. "Maybe he was deafened. He was the closest." she thought. Once more, she tried on the COM again.
C>Are you okay, sir? Can you hear me, sir?
She reached out her hand to prod him on the shoulder in the event that he was deafened.....

"Raiden. Jenesis, you mean Forerunner." Joshua replied. "Well after spectral anilsys of your MJOLNIR armor's database... That is correct, but certainly you should have known Reclaimer to look in the 6th Dimension to reveal Jenesis, and not Forerunner." Raiden replied.
This was a bunch of jumble to Joshua, more Dr. Halsey's specialty and definetally something she would druel over. He felt a thud on his shoulder and the cold presense in his head slightly retreated. Joshua turned to see Carmen standing there and Dr. Halsey sitting on some crates trying to recover from the point blank flash, with no polorized visor. He turned on external speakers.
"Did you see that, hear it, feel it? Reclaimber... Jenesis...Raiden?" He asked Carmen.
In the pit of his concenous he heard. "Reclaimer...Its Reclaimer."

Carmen had no idea what Joshua was talking about. Jenisis? Raiden? The whole thing was just way too trippy.
She hadn't heard a thing, but it did seem like he had, and it seemed to shake him a good bit.
"No, sir. I didn't hear anything. I think you might have caught a transmittion from another COM when you got hit. Dr. Hasley's blinded, but only temperailly. She'll be fine."
There was a moment's pause. It was like Joshua was trying to comprehend just what happened.
"Sir, should we go check on the others, see if anything happened to that mirror?"

TEAMCOM> Team report what is going on?"
TEAMCOM> Sir the Mirror is rippling, were backing off, you should come take a look."
Joshua turned to Carmen, "Get Dr. Halsey to her feet and into the room." he ordered. The floor began to quake, dust rain from the ciling, crates crashed to the floor, and the place rattled. Joshua ran out of the room and to the mirror which seemed to be expanding turning into a sphere type shape with eleven sides. The cold feeling returned...
"Reclaimer why have you built this structure around the Looker. Surely you have known it would be expanding upon your arrival." it said and Joshua looked to his team.
TEAMCOM> Get out of here now, this place is gunna cave in this thing is going to grow by 3 times go go go!
He yelled somehow he knew it would tripple but how he didnt know, it just seemed like he knew it forever. He pushed his way through toppled crates and over downed rafters, to get to Carmen and Dr. Halsey to help.

It all happened so fast. As Carmen helped Dr. Hasley up, the floor began to shake. Grabbing onto the entry way, she heard Joshua call out on the TEAMCOM.
At that point, she turned to the Dr.
"Sorry about this ma'am! Cover your head with her arms!"
She lifted her up over her shoulder and made a dash for the exit. Down the hall, she dodged just out of the way of falling stone and iron. As the door way came closer into view, she saw Olivia and Joshua run past her and they all made it through the same way they came.
Just as they got outside, the doorway caved in and the whole structure collapsed. Carmen set Dr. Hasley down, but instead of sitting down as Carmen thought she would, she stood up and rubbed her eyes to try to get her eyes back into focus.
"Are you alrigh, Ma'ma?" "Thank you, corpral. I'm fine. I still can't see much, but it will come back."
She seemed a little annoyed with how she had just thrown her around like a sack of potatoes, but didn't say much else and tried to get a good look at the situation.
The structure fell, completly turned to rubble as the mirror grew bigger. It was now the size of a tank and growing with every passing moment. Olivia just turned and headed for higher ground.
"Wait." Carmen called out. "Don't we need to contact Mendez and Ash, ma'am? We don't want to get seperated."
Olivia turned and looked right at her. Once again, her cold aura punctuated her vizor, and Carmen back down, her eyes dropping to the ground. She turned to Joshua.
"Your orders sir?"

C> Listen up team we need to dig in here, I know I said we need to keep moving but we need to keep this protected. This Looker is our prize, so it needs to be protected. Ash, Olivia, Mendez and Dr. Halsey stay here, and protect it Dr. Find out all you can about this thing.
He paused and brought up his TACMAP and surveyed the area, he looked to the Bungalo and wanted to check out the heat signatures that resided there. So he turned to the remaining team members.
C> Carmen and Gio you come with me we are going into the Bungalo to see what is there, possibly will come back with food. Lets move out, Carmen take point, Gio stay left I will be on the right. Were Blue team and the defense is Red.
He got into his position, at the right of the formation, back a bit from Point and he kept his MA5C tight against his shoulder, and his eyes pealed.

C>Ready to move out.
As Joshua signaled them to move forward, they headed south. Up in front, Carmen moved her eyes back and forth along the plain as the three jogged along the shot cropped plain.
moving toward the heat signatures, she wondered; "What if they're hostile? There are only three of us, and no telling how many there are of them. But, I guess if they were watching us and they were hostile, they would have shot us by now."
The forest came into view, a dark mass on the horizon, growing with every step. As they got close to the edge, almost intantly, they heard rustling and muffled, hushed speaking from behind the brush.
Carmen pointed her Ma5B at the nearest bush as it gave a short rustle. It was almost as if someone had moved from another position to get as close as they could to the team.
Whatever it was was fast. It dashed from that position to a tree several yards away within five seconds. Then, it ran back another several feet then up front again. It was just about impossible for Carmen to keep an eye on it for more than a couple seconds. She even had a clear shot a few times, but knew better then to draw first blood on a scouting mission.
Keeping her eyes on the moving target, she called over to Joshua.
C> Do we continue, Sir?

(GIO NO ONE LINERS! Its like writing a book, I know your used to the way they RP on the alliance with one sentence, but here were writing a story. Use "..." around things you say, be detailed. Like what you see us doing or how you get into position, come one be creative! Its hard to RP of your one liners.)
Joshua felt that cold feeling down his spine and that metalic taste back in his mouth. "Halt Reclaimer, What have you done. You can not bring an Elder to these grounds. The Loctus, or Flood as you call them are contained here you must leave!" Raiden shouted as the quick motion everyone else saw was becuase of a barrier, and if entered only reclaimers are permitted to leave.
C>Halt all movement Spartans, step back Now!"
He ordered as Carmen was already half way in, and poking things, which was really a flood infection form. Jostleing around looking for the slightest thing to feed off of.
"Raiden what type of species are in there." Joshua asked "Oh many forms Reclaimer, infected Jenesis, human, Sangheili, Jiralhanae, and many animals as well. There are thousands we are studying." Raiden replied with a chilling feeling of Raiden actually admiring them.
C>These are Flood, contained by the Forerunner. They are studying them, but for what reason I dont know. WE need to steer clear of the containment zone."

All Joshua had to say was "Flood" and she practically jumped out of the bush.
She had seen many Floods up close, from behind glass, and had never wished to see them in the open, even if she had a gun. She had even witnessed a Flood attack once; and that is one time too many for anyone, even the most hardened soldier.
It was back when she was only a little girl. The coloney her family lived in was attacked by a horde of Floods. There was no warning, and the distress signal wasn't responded for three days later. Right in front of her, she saw civilians ripped apart and homes destroyed. It was then that she decided to become a Spartan. So that she could rid this world of those beasts.
C> What's a containment feild doing out here, in the middle of nowhere?
The thought that these creatures were being kept alive was enough to boil her blood. Why anyone would want anything to do with these filthy beings was beyond her. All they were good for was destruction and death.
If the Forerunner wanted a specimen for study, then she would be more than happy to kill everyone of them and bring their fresh carcasses to the lab.
Suddenly, a Flood jumped out of the shadows right at her, aimed straight for her head, it's peircing scream shattering the silcence. Carmen wacked it out of the air with the but of her pistol, sending it flying in the opposite direction. It got up, and dashed towards her again.
Carmen aimed and shot two rounds right into it's dome head. As it fell to the ground dead, she felt a cold relief run through her. The knowledge that she had eradicated one of them made her smile.
C> Sorry, Sir. She said over her COM, her voice calm and even. C> I didn't mean to cause too big of a mess.
d**n, filthy creatures.
